The museum itself is largely underground in order to minimize disturbance to the natural beauty of the park. It has an underground volume of appoximately 165x25 feet.

The pond forms a liquid sculpture within the oval.

"The Oval" contains four double guest rooms, two suites and an in-house café.

An ascending ramp leads to the upper levels of the museum.
