Abstract
Since the time of the Reformation it has been customary for the Dutch Reformed to gather around the Communion table, either seated or standing. In the great cathedrals it was the choir which became the "organ room" in many Dutch churches, even those built post WWII there is a separate room, either in actuality or by entrance which is the Communion Room. Here a sense of intimacy has been gained by triangular ceiling which slops down, demarkating the room.
