Danish churches also serve as secular community centers and many have adjacent rooms which can be used for overflow for religious holidays or as meeting places for the community. Here in an elevated area, chairs can face toward the liturgical center for religious holidays or they can be turned toward the smaller elevated space beyond which can serve either as another room or as a stage.
