Zusammenfassung
The city of Orange boasts the best preserved Roman theater in all of Europe. It now is the scene of festivals begun in 1902 and operatic festivals begun in 1971. The city of Orange is intimately connected with the Huguenot cause through the person of William the silent (1533-1584) who inherited the title "Prince of Orange" in 1549.
