Zusammenfassung
Henry IV was assasinated in 1610 by a fanatic monk. While the Edict of Nantes, purportedly still in effect, the powers of state under the control of Cardinal Richelieu put the fortified Huguenot cities under seige with La Rochelle being the last to fall.
