      We enter the 19th century via the sculpture of Anita Garibaldi on horseback with baby in one arm and pistol in the other, as she charges forward to fight with her husband for the unification of Italy. Statue on the Janiculum hill.

      This fountain caused an uproar when it was unveiled because it was deemed in the 19th century as being too realistic.

      One of the few even modestly gothic churches of Rome. The church maintains a frescoed ceiling representing the heavens and including the angels of heaven, dating from 19th century restorations of the original.
